Joined Vassar's faculty as a professor in Math and Physics

Joined the Naval Reserves

Returned to inactive duty; Joined Harvard's Computation Laboratory

1949

joined the Eckert–Mauchly Computer Corporation and was part of the team that developed the UNIVAC I computer. At Eckert–Mauchly she began developing the compiler.
